Compound & Material Details

Organic Compound

The organic (resin) formulation provides a responsive, quiet braking feel right from the first squeeze. It warms up quickly in cold or wet conditions and offers excellent modulation for technical trail riding. Best suited to riders who prioritise feel and immediate power over maximum heat tolerance.

Stainless Steel Backing Plate

The rigid steel backing plate transfers braking force evenly across the pad surface, minimises flex under hard braking and resists corrosion — a must for riding in wet, muddy European trail conditions.

Compatibility

  • SRAM Trail
  • SRAM GUIDE (all variants)
  • SRAM G2 (all variants)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between organic and sintered disc brake pads?

Organic (resin) pads are softer and quieter, offering a snappier, more progressive feel — ideal for trail and enduro riding at moderate speeds. Sintered (metallic) pads last longer in wet and muddy conditions and handle high heat better, but require a longer bed-in period and can be noisier. For most trail MTB use, organic pads are the preferred choice.

Are these pads compatible with SRAM Level brakes?

No. These pads are specifically designed for SRAM Trail, GUIDE and G2 callipers. SRAM Level brakes use a different pad shape. Always check your brake calliper model before ordering.

How do I bed in new disc brake pads?

After installation, perform 10–15 moderate stops from around 20 km/h, allowing the pads to cool between each stop. Avoid full emergency stops during the first 30 minutes of riding. Proper bed-in ensures even compound transfer to the rotor and optimal braking performance.

When should I replace my disc brake pads?

Replace your pads when the compound thickness falls below 0.5 mm, if you hear metal-on-metal grinding, or if braking performance drops noticeably. Regularly check pad wear — especially after wet or muddy rides, which accelerate wear on organic pads.

Do I need to replace my rotor when fitting new pads?

Not necessarily. If the rotor surface is smooth, free of deep grooves and within the minimum thickness stamped on the rotor body, you can reuse it. However, if the rotor is worn, warped or glazed, fitting new pads alongside a fresh rotor will give you the best performance and longest service life.

How many pads are included?

Each pack contains 1 pair of pads — enough for one wheel (front or rear). Order two packs if you are replacing pads on both wheels at the same time.
