  • Integrated lighting systems and other third-party components supplied as original equipment are covered exclusively by the respective manufacturer’s warranty.

FULL WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS (LEGALLY BINDING)


1. DEFINITIONS


Original Purchase
The first purchase of a new product from an authorized Silverback dealer.

Normal Use
Use of the bicycle in accordance with its intended riding category, technical specifications, and instructions in the owner’s manual.

Defect
A fault in materials or manufacturing that existed at the time of production and affects the function or structural integrity of the product.



2. COVERAGE


This warranty covers defects in materials or manufacturing under normal use.

It applies only to products:
  • Purchased new from an authorized Silverback dealer
  • Properly assembled and maintained
  • Used within their intended category




3. ELIGIBILITY & PROOF OF PURCHASE


  • Valid for the original purchaser unless explicitly stated otherwise
  • Proof of original purchase is required
  • Warranty period always begins from the original purchase date




4. WARRANTY REGISTRATION (REQUIRED)


To activate and benefit from this warranty, the bicycle must be registered within 60 days of the original purchase date.

Registration allows Silverback to verify ownership and provide efficient warranty support.

Failure to register within this period may limit the ability to process warranty claims.
However, this does not affect any statutory rights granted under applicable consumer law.

5. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS


Components not manufactured by Silverback (including but not limited to drivetrain, brakes, suspension systems, and integrated lighting systems) are not covered by this warranty and are subject solely to the warranty of the respective manufacturer.




6. WARRANTY PROCESS & REMEDY


To initiate a claim:
  • Contact an authorized Silverback dealer
  • The dealer will inspect the product and submit the claim
During the warranty period, Silverback will, at its discretion:
  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace it with the same or most similar available product
Replacement products may differ in:
  • Color
  • Design
  • Specifications
  • Compatibility
Returned products may be required before replacement is issued.




7. GEOGRAPHIC LIMITATION


Warranty service may be limited to the country in which the product was originally purchased.




8. DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS


If a product is discontinued:
  • A replacement of equivalent function and value may be provided
  • Identical replacements are not guaranteed
  • Compatibility-related costs are not covered
Discontinued products remain eligible for warranty support for 1 year after discontinuation.




9. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS


The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
  • Improper assembly or installation, including over-torquing or incorrect mounting
  • Jumping, stunt riding, drops, racing, or use beyond the intended riding category
  • Accidents, impacts, abuse, misuse, or neglect
  • Fatigue damage resulting from repeated stress over time
  • Corrosion (including rust) or environmental exposure
  • Normal wear and tear (including but not limited to brake pads, chains, cassettes, bearings, and tires)
  • Paint and decal damage, cosmetic damage, or surface finish wear from external causes
  • Use of incompatible or non-approved components or accessories
  • E-bike motor modifications or unauthorized electrical changes
  • Commercial use (e.g. rental fleets, leasing, or fleet operations)
  • Use of a seatpost below the minimum insertion depth
  • Bent or broken derailleur hangers due to impact
  • Continued use of the bicycle with worn or damaged components
  • Improper maintenance or failure to follow service intervals
The warranty does not cover:
  • Labour, transport, shipping, or assembly costs
  • Components or accessories unless explicitly stated
  • Third-party components (covered solely by their respective manufacturers)



10. WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS


This warranty may be voided if:
  • The product is modified outside manufacturer specifications
  • Maintenance guidelines are not followed
  • Non-compatible parts are installed
  • The product is used for commercial purposes



11. **E-BIKE BATTERY WARRANTY

Coverage (from purchase date)
  • 2 years or 500 charge cycles (whichever occurs first)
  • Minimum 70% capacity retention
Covered
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Electrical failures not caused by misuse
Not Covered
  • Deep discharge due to improper charging
  • Water or moisture damage
  • Improper storage conditions
  • Extreme temperature exposure
  • Use of non-original chargers
  • Opening or modifying battery
  • Impact damage
  • Normal degradation
Care Requirements
  • Use only original charger
  • Store in dry, controlled environment
  • Charge at least every 1 month
  • Follow user manual instructions



12. DRIVETRAIN PERFORMANCE

Drivetrain performance variations are not defects if caused by:
  • Riding conditions
  • Terrain or impacts
  • Rider technique
  • Normal wear
Noise, chain drops, or shifting variation do not constitute a warranty claim.




13. FRAME REPLACEMENT PROGRAM

For crash-related damage:
  • Replacement may be offered at reduced cost within 2 years
  • Valid for original purchaser only
  • Dealer inspection required
  • Replacement may differ in color/spec



14. DEALER RESPONSIBILITIES


Dealers must:
  • Inspect products before submitting claims
  • Follow torque specifications
  • Ensure proper assembly and installation



15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law:
  • Silverback’s liability is limited to the original purchase price
  • Silverback is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages



16. GOODWILL / CRASH REPLACEMENT

If damage is not covered under warranty, Silverback or its dealers may offer a replacement product at a reduced price, subject to availability and eligibility.
