Silverback revolutionises the bicycle

Stuttgart, Germany — 2 June 2026 — Silverback today unveiled the SilverRider Series, an entirely new category of electric bicycles built around a simple idea: comfort should not be an afterthought. Guided by a philosophy called Science of Comfort, the Silver Series introduces a breakthrough frame architecture, advanced comfort technologies and sustainable manufacturing principles designed to deliver a more natural and enjoyable riding experience.

DEFYING CONVENTIONAL DESIGN. THE NEW S-SHAPE SKELETAL FRAMEWORK

At the heart of the Silver Series is Silverback's patent-pending S-Shape Skeletal Structure, a radical reimagining of the traditional hardtail e-bike frame. Developed from the ground up, the structure challenges conventional frame design by creating a unique balance of power transfer, comfort and visual simplicity. The result is a platform that is both highly capable and unmistakably distinctive.

“Every aspect of the Silver Series was designed around the rider,” said Silverback. “Rather than asking riders to adapt to the bicycle, we engineered the bicycle to adapt to the rider.”

COMFORT POWERED BY S-TEC

The Silver Series introduces S-Tec (Seat Absorption Technology), an innovative system that removes the traditional seat tube and allows the rear structure of the frame to work with the rider instead of against them. Combined with larger-volume tires, lower standover height and engineered frame compliance, S-Tec creates a synergistic comfort system that absorbs vibration and road buzz while maintaining efficient power transfer.

Silverback describes this approach as “where form follows function,” combining structural innovation with practical rider benefits that include:

  • Reduced vibration and rider fatigue
  • Improved comfort over long distances
  • Easier mounting and dismounting
  • Greater confidence while cornering
  • Easier & faster hill-climbing
  • More efficient power delivery through engineered compliance

The result is a ride that feels calmer, smoother and more controlled — allowing riders to focus on the journey rather than the terrain beneath them.

SMARTER MATERIALS. LOWER IMPACT. BETTER RIDES.

The Silver Series was developed with sustainability as a core design objective. Silverback's use of recycled alloy and composite materials reduces waste while supporting a more environmentally responsible manufacturing process. The company also emphasizes shorter supply chains, localized production, and improved material utilization to reduce environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle. Water-based paint systems are used in place of more traditional coatings to help minimize harmful emissions, while laser-etched logos replace decals, reducing material use and improving long-term durability.

By designing frames specifically around rider comfort and long-term durability, Silverback aims to create products that remain relevant and enjoyable for years to come, supporting a more sustainable approach to cycling through extended product lifespans.

VISIBILITY SHOULD NEVER BE OPTIONAL

Every SilverRider is equipped with integrated front and rear lighting systems powered directly by the bike's main battery. Unlike conventional bicycle lights that require separate charging and maintenance, Silver Series lighting is always available whenever the bike is powered on.

By eliminating the need for removable lights and additional charging routines, riders can spend less time preparing for a ride and more time enjoying it. The integrated system also helps ensure consistent visibility in changing light conditions, providing added confidence and safety whether commuting through the city, exploring gravel roads, or extending an adventure beyond sunset.
