Designed around the needs of youngsters getting their first pedal-driven bikes. Small lightweight frames mean riders can easily stand over the frame, get their feet on the ground, helping to build their confidence. We believe that being a kid, should involve fun and be careless so we have used hard-wearing, scratch-resistant decals to withstand the rough use at playtime. To keep fingers and clothing out of danger, this bike is fitted with a chainguard, giving parents peace of mind. Learning to ride couldn’t be easier with the Skid 16. The easy ride geometry means that as soon as your kid is ready to give riding without side wheels a try, the Skid will be easy to balance, and help him or her along in their riding journey.
EASY RIDE GEOMETRY
Skid is designed to be a stable bike for young kids inspiring their confidence and improving balance and riding skills. Skid 16 also comes with lightweight training wheels, so even if completely new to riding, youngsters can focus on pedaling and get going quickly.
SIZE SPECIFIC CONTACT POINTS
Skid is finished with an age specific kids saddle, smaller, narrower bars, smaller diameter grips, reach adjustable bars, reach-adjustable brakes and a shorter crankset with smaller pedals - all to suit smaller rider body geometry perfectly.

CHAINGUARD
The chainguard completely covers the chain and chainrings. This keeps your kid clean and hands and feet from potential hazards.
FENDER MOUNTS
The frame features mounting points for fenders. The bikes come fitted with rear fender.
HIGHER VOLUME TYRES
Skid is designed to easily fit higher volume 16" x 2.125" tyres with plenty of mud clearance. Bigger tyres can increase the contact area and thus ride comfort, control and grip

The Skid 16 comes with training wheels.
MECHANICALLY-FORMED 6061 ALLOY FRAME
Skid features a brand new frame for young riders. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are mechanically formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use. Skid features a 1" headtube. Skid decals are applied under the clear coat for durability.

SUPER LOW STANDOVER
Lower standover means that the Skid can be ridden by both male and female riders with more room for movement. This improves control and confidence on technical sections.
V-BRAKE / COASTER BRAKE
Skid comes with a V-brake front and a coaster brake on the rear. V-brakes offer good performance and the lever pull is light for young riders. Levers are reach adjustable for smaller hands. A full-length cable keeps the brake working better for longer, and maintenance easier. The coaster is easy to use.
V-BRAKES
Boys bike include a number plate and a bar mounted pad. Girls bike include a dolly seat and a handlebar basket.
