Scento Path V is for the rider who values comfort on their commute, so of course setting the bike up to offer a better fit is a given. Rack and fender compatibility is a must for bike like this and internal cable routing keeps the Path V neat and clutter free. The Scento Path V is fitted with a suspension seat post, height adjustable stem and a 65mm suspension fork to smooth out rough roads. Path V features V-brakes for dependable braking performance.

HYDRO FORMED ALLOY ROAD FRAME

The Scento - Silverback Engineered Custom Butted 6061 Aluminium frame features a straight headtube, integrated headset, semi smooth welds, SB formed stays and a replaceable alloy derailleur hanger. Designed for 700C wheels, this frame is lightweight and stiff, pedal efficient and durable.

COMFORT ORIENTATED COMMUTE GEOMETRY

The Scento range is designed for your daily commute. The Path V design & specification places the rider in a position to see over cars while commuting in comfort over even rougher urban terrains.

ENGINEERING NOTES.

GEOMETRY

Scento geometry is focused on commuting. This means the rider is placed slightly higher on the bike, for better visibility in traffic. The head angle is steep, making for nimble handling, and a short wheelbase, for a bike that's easier to take on a train, or put away in an apartment. The geometry has also been optimised for power delivery and comfort.

RACK AND FENDER MOUNTS

Scento frames feature rack and fender mounts. This means it is easy to set up for touring, and all weather commuting.

INTERNAL ROUTING

All cables are run internally on the Scento frames. Internal routing protects cables better, and keeps the bike clean and neat.

700C WHEELS

Running on 700C road wheels, the Scento has very little rolling resistance, meaning less input for greater speed and distance. Get there quicker and less sweaty. Winning.

V-BRAKES

V-brakes have a standing reputation as quality upgrades over cantilever brakes. Braking on the side surfaces on the rim, the V-brakes offer solid stopping power and are easy to maintain.

DRIVETRAIN

Scento Path V features components chosen for reliability over long term use. MICROshift components offer great shifting and little maintenance, perfect for a commuting bike.

SUSPENSION FORK

The Zoom suspension fork does a great job of smoothing out harsh road conditions. Improved comfort and front wheel traction is the result.

ADJUSTABLE COCKPIT AND SUSPENSION SEATPOST

The Scento Path V is highly adjustable to suit the rider's build. To fine tune for comfort, the handlebar stem can be raised or lowered to the desired riding position. The seatpost has built in suspension for seated comfort.

Can run road drop bars on the Scento Path V?

Yes, you can, but the gear shifters and brakes will not fit on a drop bar, so make accommodation for that.

Can I fit 650 wheels?

Yes, you can, 650 with 2.1" tyres will work on the Scento Path V.

Where can I ride the Scento Path V?

The Scento best suited to on-road use for commuting purpose.

Can I take the Scento Path V off-road?

Yes, pathways and dirt tracks are not a problem for the Path V, but it is not suitable for mountain bike trails and tracks.

Can I fit a rack to the Scento Path V?
