The S-Electro FAT Explorer features a complex hydroformed alloy frame with a compact 720 Wh internal battery located in the downtube. The FAT Explorer is designed around all-day comfort geometry and compatible with gigantic 4.7" FAT tyres. This makes the S-Electro FAT Explorer a very capable bike that loves a challenge, and with the high capacity battery, you could venture vast distances assisted, without the need for recharge on the way. The battery can be charged in-place in the frame, or where power outlets aren't close by, the battery can easily be removed.

S-Electro Diamond is designed around a Shimano Steps EP8, 85 Nm mid-drive motor. Shimano’s EP8 motor offers excellent all-round performance which is perfect for E-MTB riding. With its smooth torque support, the ride feel is simply incredible.

Shimano offers a very informative display for intuitive operation as well as an ergonomic switch position especially developed for E-MTB.

S-Electro Diamond is designed around a Shimano Steps EP8 motor. This motor is paired to a high capacity 720Wh internal battery giving the Step an unrivalled range of pedal assistance. The Shimano LCD display is intuitive and easy to use, also indicating battery levels and shows all info needed for the electric system.

Shorter chainstay means nimble handling, and with the centralized weight of the electric drive system, the compact rear end provides a more balanced ride feel.

HIGH VOLUME 720 Wh BATTERY

Large 720Wh internal battery delivering 2.8 - 4.8 hours / 72 - 120 km range of pedal assistance. The battery charges to 80% in 3 hours. Lock up your bike worry free – the battery is key removable only.

DROPPER POST

The bike is internal routed dropper post compatible and simple to set up. Dropper posts increase riding clearance on technical sections. It can also make mounting and dismounting easier, and stops or traffic light waits less cumbersome.

LONG-TRAVEL DROPPER POSTS

The Diamond frame waterbottle bosses are welded to the outer surface of the seat-tube, allowing the seatpost to slide deeper. More space for longer travel!

LED START BUTTON AND USB-C CHARGING PORT

The intuitive LED button makes switching between modes easier and more intuitive for users, as well as indicating battery level in colour. USB-C charging for your smartphone.

HYDROFORMED DOUBLE BUTTED INTEGRATED ALLOY FRAME

S-Electro Diamond features a double butted hydroformed alloy frame. Hydroforming is the process of forcing tubing shape with pressurized oil and or water. The frame can have thinner walls, complex shapes that makes it stronger and lighter than regular tubing.

ADJUSTABLE STACK

Customize your spacers - Extra spacers on the fork steerer offers an upright relaxed riding position, reducing back and shoulder pressure for more comfort.

OVERSIZED COCKPIT PARTS

S-Electro Diamond models use oversized cockpit parts such as wider handlebar, stem and seat post diameter, which offer more leverage and finer control. A wider handlebar opens your chest and bring your weight forward, giving more traction on the front wheel.

SPECIALLY DEVELOPED E-BIKE ERGONOMIC SADDLE

S-Electro Diamond models offer a specially developed E-MTB saddle which is purposely suitable for use on electric bicycles in terms of function, ergonomics and durability.

FENDER AND RACK COMPATIBLE

All S-Electro Diamond frames feature mounts for a fenders and rear rack with built-in pannier mounts. Please follow the structural weight limits when adding cargo.

Can I order an extra battery for my S-Electro FAT?

Yes you can - get in touch and we can sort it out for you.
Can I chip my ebike?

Most country laws prohibit the use of derestricting or chipping your ebike, and so we can not comment on this. You will also void your warranty and wear out parts quicker if you do.
How easily is it to setup tubeless on a FAT bike?

It is just like any other tyre for the most part. Our rims are pre taped making the process quicker and easier. With FAT tyres, a compressor or high volume air shot helps in supplying the volume of air needed to seat the big tyres.
Can I fit 29" wheels on my fatbike?

The hub spacing on fat wheels are wider than standard, boost or superboost spacing on normal 29" MTB wheels, so they will not fit.

The serial number of the frame is located under the black cover, you will need to unscrew 2 screws in order to take it down to see the frame number.
Can I customize my Shimano display to another language or change other settings?

Yes, you need to download E TUBE app and configure the settings. SEE HERE
Can I upgrade the length of my suspension on my bike?

The suspension length is normally determined by the frame design, it should not be changed.

The Silverback S-Electro Diamond Fat Explorer is an absolute beast. The unique "diamond-shaped" hydroformed aluminum frame looks striking and provides incredible stiffness when hauling gear. It has an integrated, clean aesthetic with plenty of mounting points for racks, mudguards, and fenders—making it a true expedition rig.

The Suspension Fork DifferenceWhile some fat e-bikes feature rigid forks, choosing the version with the 120mm Manitou Mastodon Comp suspension fork was the best decision I ever made. Fat tires running low pressure swallow minor chatter, but the Mastodon fork absorbs actual trail violence—like hitting frozen ruts, large tree roots, or rocky drop-offs. It saves my wrists from fatigue and keeps the massive 4.7-inch tires glued to the ground for unshakeable steering control.

Motor & Battery PerformanceThe 85Nm Shimano EP8 mid-drive motor handles the extra weight and rolling resistance of a fat bike effortlessly. Uphills feel flat, even when churning through soft sand or deep snow where a standard mountain bike would wash out.

Der Shimano-Motor liefert kraftvolle und gleichzeitig natürliche Unterstützung, während die breiten Reifen enorm viel Grip und Sicherheit bieten. Besonders auf losem Untergrund fühle ich mich deutlich sicherer als mit meinem bisherigen Mountainbike. Auch längere Touren sind dank der hohen Reichweite problemlos möglich.

Die Sitzposition ist komfortabel, das Fahrverhalten sehr ausgewogen und die Verarbeitung auf höchstem Niveau. Man merkt sofort, dass bei diesem Bike auf Qualität und Langlebigkeit geachtet wurde. Selbst auf anspruchsvollen Trails bleibt das Bike ruhig und vermittelt jederzeit ein sicheres Fahrgefühl.
