Die Shimano Ultegra PD-R8000 SPD-SL Pedale mit Carbon-Verbundkörper sorgen für eine direkte Kraftübertragung. Damit passen sie perfekt zur extra steifen Hollowtech II Kurbelgarnitur. Das PD-R8000 Pedal ist 0,7 mm niedriger als sein Vorgänger, das PD-6800, und verfügt über eine extra breite Auflagefläche, die durch eine Edelstahlplatte geschützt ist.

These Shimano pedals/cleats are much easier to clip in and out bearings are extremely smooth even during aggressive riding also you feel secure and confident that your locked in at all levels of effort.

I bought these pedals to go with a new bike and wanted something a bit lighter than the budget pair I'd had on my old alloy frame Bianchi. These looked neat and were certainly lighter - but were perhaps a bit heavier than I was expecting. I've had a good few outings on them now and am more or less getting used to them. It can be a bit tricky sometimes getting my trailing foot to lock in - perhaps I need to adjust them...

I bought these pedals for my TT bike along with other various components in order to upgrade and more importantly save weight. These Shimano Ultegra R8000 pedals replaced my Shimano PD-R540 pedals. I was not sure whether making the change would be beneficial as I am only an 'average' ability rider. However as soon as they were on they felt so much better.
