FAQ
Yes, the Stride is designed to get you into MTB riding. The geometry design and component choices are intended to make for a very competent value MTB, perfect for an entry into the sport.
No you can not. You can however fit up to a 120mm fork on your Stride. 140mm would put too much stress on the headtube. This could lead to frame failure, and voids your warranty.
The Stride is designed as an enthusiast sport MTB platform - this translates to XC and light trails. Not designed for dirt jumping.
Can I fit a rack to my Stride Expert?
Yes, the frame has mounting points for a rack. Please check with your local retailer to see which rack will fit best.
Can I fit a kickstand to my Stride?
Yes, the Stride is compatible with 40mm type kickstand mounting. Such as the CL-KA100 available on Speedlab shop.
Can I fit a 2.5" rear tyre on my bike?
The maximum tyre size on the Stride range is 2.35" on the rear tyre.
Hydro-formed 6061 Alloy frame The Stride HD features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use. The HD is external cable routed and has a tapered headtube.
Position of Power -Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear wheel on climbs and on the front wheel on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed.
Short chainstays coupled with modern Pop geometry means that the Stride is more nimble through corners, yet retains overall stability and predictable steering.
Stride HD is fitted with a purpose chosen VAXA 100mm suspension fork. The VAXA suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike. The wider stanchions on the fork and headtube on the frame ensures greater steering accuracy and better front end stiffness. The increased stiffness is used in order to reduce the flex of the front end of the bike, which the rider feels as a more stable ride.
All Stride bicycles are fitted with quality alloy control parts. This means less weight, and more durability - for many happy trails. Similarly brand name components are chosen for durability and function, meaning that your Stride offers worry free ownership.
Stride HD is fitted with NUTT hydraulic disc brakes. Disc brakes offer dependable all weather performance over rim brakes. NUTT makes a good quality brake offering decent power and great modulation, as well as solid ergonomics.
Stride frames are rack and fender compatible. Easily set it up for what you need!
Stride HD features full length externally routed cable housings. These are easier to maintain than internal cables. Also, since the housing is full length, cables are less prone to dirt ingress in the system, meaning less maintenance and smoother gears and better functioning brakes for longer periods.
The riser alloy handlebar offers more adjustability, a more upright riding position and consequently more comfort than lower bars. Anodized finish means that the bar is durable and also lighter than steel handlebars.
