Hydro-formed alloy frame The Sola SLD frame is manufactured from hydro formed, butted 6061 alloy tubing making for a very strong frame. For this kind of application - the XC hardtail, a lightweight yet strong aluminium frame is a viable cost effective option. Hydro forming is a process to shape alloy tubing from the inside with pressurized water and/or oil, into a negative mold cavity, resulting in stronger - shaped - thin wall tubing. Sola SLD is a relatively compact frame, with low standovers on smaller sizes, and already a good unisex frame fit.
Silverback Ladies Design means that the bike is set up to better suit women's anatomy and body proportions. This on the Sola means narrower handlebars, thinner grips, adjusted gear ratios, shorter stem and a women's specific saddle.

Sola SLD is an ultra-wide range 11spd setup. An e-thirteen
Sola geometry is relatively compact, with low standover on smaller sizes, and already a good unisex frame fit. We use the geometry as-is on Sola, but pair it with ladies specific component choices.
The Sola frame uses our SBC dropout system with replaceable derailleur hanger and 12mm thru axle. This system creates for a very stiff and secure rear end on the bike.
Internal routing keeps cables out of harm's way, the cockpit neat and uncluttered and makes for less maintenance, due to full length internal cables being less prone to dirt ingression.
Laterall stiff seatstays means efficient power delivery to the pedals, yet gives some flex and a degree of comfort to the rider when riding over bumps seated.
