KEY FEATURES
Rims and rimbrakes have been used together for many decades. You only have to inspect your rims after you've ridden in adverse conditions, where wet sand etc could possibly damage your brake surfaces. It is important to check your brakepads often and never run them to the metal, as this will damage your rims.
The Strela Comp frame does not have rack mounts, so not ideal for touring. But for commuting, if you use a backpack, it should make a very good urban run-around.
Unfortunately the frame of the Strela Comp is not designed to be Di2 ready.
The hydro formed alloy frame that's designed for use across the Strela range is remarkably light and purposefully stiff. This means that the frame is light for an alloy frame, and strong enough to be ridden hard. It features a tapered 1-1/8"-1.5" headtube, Internal Cable Routing and a replaceable derailleur hanger. Hydro forming is the process of forcing tubes into complex negative molds using internally pressurized water and or oil. This creates lightweight, super strong alloy tubing with complex shapes.
Strela Comp is fitted with the Silverback Advanced Dynamics carbon fork. The carbon fork further reduces overall weight on the bike, improves aerodynamics, steering precision and ride comfort. With an immaculate paint matched finish, the fork has a tapered carbon steerer and QR dropouts and looks as good as it rides.
Geometry on the mid compact Strela is designed for a well balanced ride - shining on both longer rides and climbs/descents, with great comfort, efficient power delivery and loads of cornering stability and grip.
Strela Comp is fitted with a quality double wall Surface, 700C alloy wheelset on Shimano HBRS470 c/lock disc hubs .These are quick rolling and wrapped in Vittoria Zaffiro 700x28C tyres, suited to the Strela's 'do anything' nature.
A perfectly fit for purpose Shimano Tiagra 4700 2 x 10 groupset ensures longevity, smooth shifting and efficient power delivery to the wheels. Smooth shifting and minimal maintenance is a given when professionally setup.
Strela Comp is designed to do a bit of everything - well. Going fast and nimble handling is great, but you need to be able to manage that speed for control. Strela Comp uses powerful Shimano Tiagra disc brakes to effectively do just that. Disc brakes offer great stopping power and good modulation when set up correctly.
Strela Comp weighs in at a mere 10.26kg for an Alloy frame road bike in this category! This weight is on a size Medium excluding pedals but including tubes.
The wider headtube on the frame ensures greater steering accuracy and better front end stiffness. The increased stiffness is used in order to reduce the flex of the front end of the bike, which the rider feels as a more stable ride.
