WHY IT'S GREAT
HEAD TO THE OFFICE, OR VENTURE ON THE TRAILS

The S-Electro Comp hardtail is a commute focused electric assisted mountain bicycle. Head to the office, or venture onto your local MTB trails over the weekend. With the pedal assisted Comp, you'll get there quickly and without breaking a sweat. Accessorize with panniers and fenders, to turn the Comp into the ultimate all-round touring bike. A quality Rockshox Recon Gold 120mm suspension fork provides plenty of comfort and a powerful Shimano Steps E8000 motor and high capacity 630Wh battery ensures hours of uninterrupted exploration or daily commutes with only a once-a-week need to charge.

HYDROFORMED ALLOY FRAME

S-Electro Comp features a double butted hydroformed full suspension alloy frame with integrated motor mount and internal battery. Hydroforming means that the frame can have thinner sidewalls, complex shapes and curves that makes it stronger and lighter than comparative alloy frames with regular tubing. Hydroforming is the process of forcing tubing into a negative mold with internal pressurised oil and or water, resulting in stronger - lighter tubes. The S-Electro Comp frame features boost spacing, internal routing, post mount disc brakes and a replaceable derailleur hanger.

DRIVE SYSTEM, POWER AND DISPLAY.

S-Electro Comp is fitted with a Shimano Steps E8000 motor, powered by a high capacity 630Wh internal Li-Ion battery. This gives the Comp a massive pedal assisted range. The on-bar Shimano Steps LCD display is intuitive and easy to use, also indicating battery levels and shows all info needed for the electric system.

ENGINEERING NOTES.

GEOMETRY

Geometry on the S-Electro Comp has been designed with focus evenly spread on comfort and handling, and secondly on pedaling efficiency. Getting there quickly is only fun if you can be comfortable and in control doing it.

INTEGRATED HYDROFORMED ALLOY FRAME

The S-Electro Comp is the third version of our popular Comp platform. Commuters, trail riders, touring enthusiasts and weekend warriors all love the Comp frame for its mild mannered ride characteristics, along with rack and fender compatibility. Silverback's BIC specification and great frame warranties, mean that this new version continues that legacy.

ROCKSHOX RECON SILVER RL SUSPENSION FORK

A Rockshox Recon SILVER RL 120mm suspension fork offers great damping and smooth movement with very little break away stiction. The Recon Silver is a Boost fork with improved stiffness, features reduced offset for improved stability, and has rebound adjust as well as a hydraulic lockout on the crown. Its light, easy to set up for specific rider requirements and the benchmark in this class.

COMPONENT CHOICES

Selectro Comp is designed to promote comfort on longer rides. The rider positioning is well balanced and suited to moderate trail riding, as well as touring or commuting.S-Electro Comp is fitted with purpose chosen commuting optimized components. This means that more than giving you the most possible bike for your money, the Comp is dependable. A 34t front chainring, and Deore 11 speed rear derailleur is matched to an 11speed wide range cassette, offering a plethora of gears for every incline, decline or stretch of flat road.

TUBELESS READY SUNRINGLE DUROC 35 WHEELS

SUNRingle are known for making quality wheels. The Duroc 35 wheels are strong and lightweight, and tubeless ready from the box. Factory pre-taped rims mean that you only have to add sealant and valves and as long as your tyres are tubeless, you're good to go.

HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES

The Comp features Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes for dependable all weather performance.

FAQ.

Can I use the Comp on MTB trails?

Yes. The Comp is a mountain bike and can easily be used on trails. It is an XC based platform - and not designed for enduro, difficult trails, downhill or jumping.

Can I modify my electric motor for more speed?

No. We do not recommend modifying your motor. Any modifications will void your warranty, promote premature component wear and could compromise structural integrity of your frame.

Can I fit a dropper post on the comp?

Yes, the frame is internal dropper post compatible.

Can I ride the Comp like a motorbike with a throttle?

No, we do not offer throttles with our bicycles. There may be compatible systems out there - but check with us re your warranty before fitting a system and also your regional/national bylaws on eBikes and throttle control.
