GREAT SPEC AND PROGRESSIVE TRAIL GEOMETRY FINISHES THE GROUND BREAKING COMP.

The Stride Comp is designed to offer a quality, lower priced, entry into the sport mountain bike market. The Stride Comp features an Suntour Air, 100mm suspension fork to give you a comfortable ride with excellent traction off road. A wide range 1x9 speed MICROshift drivetrain fitted to the internal dropper post ready, Stride hydro formed alloy frame makes for quality shifting. Full internal cable routing, along with tubeless ready wheels, and an integrated kickstand & rack mounts, tapered headset and progressive trail geometry finishes the ground breaking Comp.

1X DRIVETRAIN WITH NARROW WIDE CHAINRINGS

Silverback fits 1x (single-chainring) drivetrains to as many bikes as we can. 1x offers less maintenance, is more intuitive to use and offers a wider gear range than 3x groupsets. We spec our 32t 1x N/W chainrings in favor of climbing prowess over flat terrain top speed. Everyone can benefit from easier climbing.

POP GEOMETRY

Position of Power - Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed.

HYDRO FORMED ALLOY FRAME

Hydro-formed 6061 Alloy frame The Stride features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use. All Stride frames are now internal dropper post ready.

RESPONSIVE SHORT CHAINSTAYS

Short chainstays coupled with POP geometry means that the Stride Comp is more nimble through corners, yet retains overall stability.

CABLE MANAGEMENT

Cables are fed in, via openings near the headtube, to cable exits under the downtube. Cable routing is quick and easy, making installation a breeze. Internal routing keeps the bike neat and clutter free. It also means that cables are protected from impact damage. Full length cable housing also means less dirt contaminates the system and therefore less maintenance.

DISC BRAKES ON MOST STRIDES

Disc brakes offer dependable all-weather performance over rim brakes.

Mounted inside the rear triangle to protect it from environmental damage, while also acting like a brace, improving strength around the dropout and kickstand mount.

SUSPENSION FORK

All Stride bicycles are fitted with purpose chosen 100mm suspension forks. The Comp is fitted with an SR Suntour XCR32 Air fork with a Tapered Steerer. A suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike.

SURFACE ALLOY CONTROL PARTS

All Stride bicycles are fitted with Surface quality alloy control parts. This means less weight, and more durability - for many happy trails. Similarly brand name components are chosen for durability and function, meaning that your Stride offers worry free ownership. Ergonomic Grips & Saddle improve comfort by relieving pressure from sensitive areas

TUBELESS READY, WIDER RIMS & TIRES

Surface Alloy Wheels are pre-taped and tubeless ready from the box. Easy to set up tubeless, just add sealant and inflate to seat.

DERAILLEUR CLUTCH

A clutch greatly improves chain retention, reducing potential chain drops & noise on one-by setups.

FENDER, RACK & KICKSTAND MOUNTS INCLUDED

Fender, Rack & kickstand mounts are integrated into the frame, making the addition & installation neat and uncomplicated. We suggest using the Speedkit kickstand for non e-bikes.

TYRE CLEARANCE

Designed to easily fit higher volume 29” x 2.35” tires with plenty of mud clearance. Bigger tires can increase contact area and thus ride comfort, control and grip.

LOW STANDOVER

More comfortable for male and female riders.

SURFACE CHAIN GUIDE

Included on all 1x drivetrains. Improves chain stability, helps to prevent chain drop.

FAQ.

I am keen to start MTB riding. Is the Stride range a good place to start looking?

Yes, the Stride is designed to get you into MTB riding. The geometry design and component choices are intended to make for a very competent value MTB, perfect for an entry into the sport.

Can I fit a 140mm Pike to my Stride?

No you can not. You can however fit up to a 120mm fork on your Stride. 140mm would put too much stress on the headtube. This could lead to frame failure, and voids your warranty.

Is the Stride a good dirt jump bike?

The Stride is designed as an enthusiast sport MTB platform - this translates to XC and light trails. Not designed for dirt jumping.

Can I fit a dropper on my Stride?

Yes, your frame is internal dropper post ready.

Can I fit a 2.5" rear tyre on my bike?

The maximum tyre size on the Stride range is 2.35" on the rear tyre.
