SILVERBACK-PYÖRÄT

Most modern bicycles are built around a frame (typically aluminium, carbon fibre, steel, or titanium), a fork, wheels (rims + spokes + hubs), a drivetrain (crankset, chain, cassette), brakes, and contact points (handlebar, saddle, pedals). The exact mix depends on whether the bike is designed for road speed, off‑road durability, everyday commuting, or e‑assist use.

For most beginners, I recommend something stable, comfortable, and simple to live with: a hardtail mountain bike, a flat‑bar fitness bike, or a relaxed gravel/hybrid setup. Prioritize correct sizing, reliable brakes, and easy gearing over chasing the lightest frame.

Your height is a great starting point, but inseam and riding style matter just as much. Here’s a practical sizing guide I use as a baseline (then we fine-tune with saddle height, reach, and handlebar setup):

150–160 cm (4'11"–5'3"): XS / 14–15" (MTB) or 47–50 cm (Road/Gravel)
160–170 cm (5'3"–5'7"): S / 16–17" (MTB) or 50–53 cm (Road/Gravel)
170–178 cm (5'7"–5'10"): M / 18–19" (MTB) or 54–56 cm (Road/Gravel)
178–185 cm (5'10"–6'1"): L / 20–21" (MTB) or 56–58 cm (Road/Gravel)
185–195 cm (6'1"–6'5"): XL / 22–23" (MTB) or 58–61 cm (Road/Gravel)

If you’re between sizes, I usually recommend going a touch smaller for easier stand-over and a more agile feel, and a touch larger if you prefer extra stability.

In Germany, prices vary widely depending on frame material, components, and category. As a rough guideline: a solid entry bike often starts in the mid‑hundreds, performance road/gravel bikes go higher, and e‑bikes typically cost more due to the motor and battery system. The best “value” is the bike that matches your use and doesn’t force upgrades immediately.

Absolutely. 30 minutes a day is a great baseline for cardiovascular fitness, weight management, and mental well‑being while still being realistic for busy schedules. Consistency matters more than intensity.

It depends on where you ride most, how long you usually ride, and whether you value comfort or speed more.

For example, if you:

- Mostly ride on roads and want speed, I’d recommend a road bike.
- Ride on roads plus gravel paths and mixed surfaces, go for a gravel bike (the best all‑rounder).
- Ride forest trails and rough terrain, choose a mountain bike hardtail for simplicity, full suspension for more comfort and control.
- Commute daily, ride hills, or cover longer distances, an e‑bike is a smart choice.
- Ride on sand/snow or want maximum grip, a fat bike is a great option.

Across our range you’ll typically find mountain bikes (hardtail and full‑suspension), road bikes, gravel bikes, e‑bikes (including our S‑Electro line), fat bikes, ladies bikes and kids’ bikes built around the same goal: real‑world performance and long‑term reliability.

I’d look at: fit/size, your primary terrain, riding position (upright vs. sporty), gearing range, brake type, tyre clearance, mounting points (racks/mudguards), and serviceability. Then match your budget to the best frame + wheel + brake package you can afford those are the foundations you feel every ride.

For delivery work, you want durability, comfort, and low downtime. A practical commuter/trekking setup or an e‑bike with good range (depending on your route) is usually the smartest. Prioritize strong wheels, puncture‑resistant tyres, powerful brakes, and compatibility with racks/bags.

Yes. We design bikes that scale with you: approachable handling and dependable components for new riders, and performance‑oriented geometry and spec options for experienced riders. The key is choosing the right category and correct size.

For commuting: comfort, lights/mudguards compatibility, rack mounts, dependable brakes, and tyres that handle wet roads. For fitness: a lighter bike, efficient tyres, and a position you can hold for longer rides. If you want one bike to do both, gravel or a flat‑bar fitness setup is often the sweet spot.

Depending on the model and category, we use aluminium alloys and carbon fibre (and in some segments, other materials may appear). The goal is always the same: the right balance of stiffness, durability, weight, and cost for the intended riding style.

Road bike for speed on tarmac, gravel for mixed surfaces and versatility, mountain bike for trails and rough terrain, fat bike for sand/snow and extreme grip, e‑bike if you want more range, easier hills, or a sweat‑free commute. If you share where you ride, I’ll narrow it down quickly.

We focus on honest specifications and ride quality: frames engineered for their purpose, components that make sense, and a build you can maintain. That’s what “value” means to us performance you can trust, without paying for hype.

Yes. Online purchase with delivery is common in Germany. Availability and delivery terms can vary by model and season, but ordering a bike to your door is absolutely a normal way to buy today.

Most bikes shipped in a carton are partially assembled for transport safety. Typically, you’ll need to straighten the handlebar, install the front wheel (sometimes), fit pedals, set saddle height, and do a quick bolt/torque and brake check. If you want a perfect first ride, a professional “first assembly” check is always a good idea.

The best bike for weight loss is the one you’ll ride consistently. Comfort and fit matter most. For many people, a gravel bike, a hardtail MTB, or an e‑bike (yes, because it increases total riding time) works brilliantly. Combine steady rides with a few higher‑effort intervals and you’ll see results.

Fit first (size + contact points), then use case (terrain + distance), then the foundations (frame, wheels, brakes), then gearing and comfort features. Also consider service access (standard parts), storage, and whether you need mounts for racks/mudguards.

Cycling improves fitness, supports joint‑friendly movement, reduces stress, and fits into daily life commute, errands, or training. It’s one of the few activities that is both practical transport and effective exercise.

Bikes use minimal resources per kilometre, reduce traffic congestion, and lower local emissions and noise. Every trip shifted from car to bike is a real win for cities and for the air we all breathe.
