    Budget conscious SLD adventurer

Splash SE is a Silverback Ladies Design platform (SLD) featuring a hydro formed alloy frame with tapered headtube, integrated kickstand mount and full length external routing. Running on 27.5” wheels it has a full compliment of rack & fender mounts and trickle down trail geometry.Splash SE is fitted with a fit-and-forget Zoom HL565 suspension fork with 100mm of travel. To compliment the Splash hydro formed frame, the components on the SE are durable and carefully selected to give the rider a quality, well priced MTB, in line with SB's BIC ethos.

    Hydro formed alloy frame

The Splash features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use - resulting in a lighter bike for female riders.

    SLD (Silverback Ladies Design)

Silverback Ladies Design means that the bicycle is set up to better suit women's anatomy and body proportions. This on the Splash means narrow handlebars, thinner grips, adjusted gear ratios, shorter stem and a women's specific saddle.

    ENGINEERING NOTES.

    Suspension fork

The Splash SE is fitted with a purpose chosen 100mm Zoom suspension fork. A suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike. The Zoom is a dependable, simplistic component.

    Adapted Pop geometry

Silverback's Position of Power geometry. Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed. Geometry on the Splash is adapted to offer more comfort.

    3X drivetrain

The Splash SE is fitted with a 3x7 drivetrain with easy to use EZ Fire shifters. 3x drivetrains offer a wide range of gears for both climbing and descending.

    Surface double wall alloy wheels

Surface Wheels fitted to the Splash are manufactured from double wall alloy extrusions. This means that the wheels are light and strong, and offers a good rim brake surface.

    Low standover

The new Splash frame is designed with super low standover. This means more maneuverability, easier mounting and dismounting and also confidence both on the trails, or even just standing at a traffic light. And helps to make the bike perfectly suited to female riders.

    V-brakes

Splash SE features alloy V-brakes. V-brakes are easy to set up, service and offer great stopping power and decent modulation

    SLD spec

Silverback Ladies Design means that the bike is set up to better suit women's anatomy and body proportions. This on the Splash Elite means narrower handlebars, thinner grips, adjusted gear ratios, shorter stem and a women's specific saddle.
