Mechanical disc brakes and a class-leading hydro formed alloy frame

Splash MD is designed around Silverback’s benchmark hydro formed alloy frame. The Splash MD is the sister to the Stride MD bike. The frame features a tapered headtube, integrated kickstand mount, full length external routing, 27.5” wheels and trickle down trail geometry. Splash MD is fitted with an SR Suntour XCE28 suspension fork with 100mm of travel, and cable actuated mechanical disc brakes. A form fitting SLD saddle makes riding more comfortable for ladies on the Splash range.

    Hydro formed alloy frame

The Splash features a class leading frame. Trickle-down technology means that the new frame benefits from our leading platforms. The frame tubes are hydro-formed into complex shapes to increase strength and stiffness, minimizing weight and excess material use - resulting in a lighter bike for female riders. All Splash frames are now internal dropper post ready.

    SLD (Silverback Ladies Design)

Silverback Ladies Design means that the bicycle is set up to better suit women's anatomy and body proportions. This on the Splash means narrow handlebars, thinner grips, adjusted gear ratios and a women's specific saddle.

    ENGINEERING NOTES.

    Suspension fork

The Splash MD is fitted with a purpose chosen 28mm SR Suntour 100mm air suspension fork. A suspension fork improves comfort and traction on a hardtail mountain bike. The SR Suntour XCE is a dependable and simplistic component.

    Adapted Pop geometry

Silverback's Position of Power geometry. Geometry designed to engage bigger muscle groups in pedaling, producing more power output for the same amount of input. Longer frame places the rider forward, in a more balanced position, improving grip on the rear on climbs and on the front on descents. A longer wheelbase and slacker head angle means more control at speed. Geometry on the Splash is adapted to offer more comfort.

    3X drivetrain

The Splash SE is fitted with a 3x7 drivetrain with easy to use EZ Fire shifters. 3x drivetrains offer a wide range of gears for both climbing and descending.

    Surface tubeless ready wheels

Surface Wheels fitted to the Splash are pre-taped at the factory and tubeless ready from the box. Easy to set up, just add sealant and inflate to seat.

    Low standover

The new Splash frame is designed with super low standover. This means more maneuverability, easier mounting and dismounting and also confidence both on the trails, or even just standing at a traffic light. And helps to make the bike perfectly suited to female riders.

    Mechanical disc brakes

Splash MD features Tektro mechanical disc brakes. Disc brakes offer dependable all weather performance. Great stopping power and decent modulation

    SLD spec

Silverback Ladies Design means that the bike is set up to better suit women's anatomy and body proportions. This on the Splash Elite means narrower handlebars, thinner grips, adjusted gear ratios, shorter stem and a women's specific saddle.
