The perfect supplement for safety: the Toplight Line Brake Plus LED rear light by busch+müller

At the core of the BrakeTec Technology is a processor, which is integrated into the rear light; it evaluates signals from the hub dynamo. As soon as the speed decreases suddenly and significantly, the rear light glows much brighter. Just like a brake light would, it warns the traffic behind you.

Technology:

Standing Light
This innovation by busch+müller from the nineties has become the safety standard. The additional " plus" indicates that standing lights are integrated into the equipment. Neither batteries nor rechargeable batteries are required for the standing light. This is how it works: As soon as the bike is stationary, an LED standing light is supplied with power by a maintenance-free capacitor. The capacitor charged itself during the journey.

BrakeTec
The new BrakeTec Technology is a brake light function and is integrated into the rear light. However, no power connection to the brake is needed.

LineTec
LineTec is a patented light system with a special lens effect. The punctual light from high-power LEDs is fanned out into a wide light strip which illuminates evenly. A rear light with LineTec light band emits a " spatial" light. Therefore other road users can estimate the distance much better and faster.

Manufacturer's Notice:
The BrakeTec only works if the rear light is connected to a dynamo front light, whose rear light connections supply an alternating current. A brake light function is not possible in combination with front lights that supply a direct current to the rear light. All dynamo front lights from busch+müller are designed in such a way that the BrakeTec function is available without restrictions.
