Frequently Asked Questions

What size is the Giro Fixture II?

The MIPS II comes in a Universal Fit size covering head circumferences from 54 to 61 cm. Use the Roc Loc Sport dial to fine-tune the fit within that range.

Can I mount a GoPro or action camera on this helmet?

Giro does not recommend mounting cameras or accessories to this helmet. Doing so can compromise the helmet's structural integrity and may reduce its protective performance in a crash.

Is the visor removable?

Yes. The visor is fully removable and can be snapped on or off without tools, giving you flexibility depending on conditions and personal preference.

How do I clean the Fixture II helmet?

Remove the quick-dry padding and hand-wash with mild soap and warm water. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use solvents, strong detergents, or machine washing.

When should I replace my helmet?

Replace your helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent. As a general guideline, replace helmets every 3–5 years due to UV degradation and wear, even without a crash.

Where can I get replacement parts?

Contact Giro directly at www.giro.com/contact-us for replacement pads, buckles, or fit system components.

Is this helmet certified for e-bike use?

The Fixture II holds CPSC Bicycle certification. For e-bikes with a top speed above 45 km/h, a motorcycle-certified helmet may be required by local regulations. Please check your country's rules before use.
