Silverback Junior rider, Luke Moir claimed another win at the second round of the Western Province XCO Series which took place at Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Paarl.
Luke had a blistering first lap setting the fastest lap time and opening a significant gap on the chasing pack. For the remaining laps, Luke set his focus on the Elite men’s field.

They had started one minute prior to the Junior men; he worked his way through the majority of the field to within 25 seconds of the leading Elite.
Taking a dominant win in the Junior men, Luke is pleased with the progress made in his fitness, speed, and nutrition.

Luke looks to maintain this form whilst in a space of unknown as to when the next race (locally and internationally) maybe with the global pandemic of COVID-19 putting a holt on all traveling and sporting events gatherings till further notice.
Post the first Junior World Series race which was held earlier this year, Luke applied his learnings implementing a few minor changes in both nutrition building up to race day as well as race strategy itself.

SILVERBACK INFLUENCERS:
Silverback Stratos Rider, Gerhardt Struwig had a solid start and a flying 1st lap at the Gauteng XCO Cup#2 Thaba Trails in the junior category.
His Silverback Stratos CF 1 did a great job until an unfortunate slashed front tire ended his race in lap 5.
Gerhardt he will recover from the setback.
Well Done!
